This project was a passion project inspired by my childhood. My journey as an artist began drawing killer whales in my youth, and as a benchmark to see how far I had come as an artist from my youth, I created this piece. When I get discouraged as an artist, I like to look at this piece and remember. The journey of an artist is lifelong. It is always humbling to see just how far we have come from where we began.
