Phoenix Rising

This is a digital painting I created for my mom who just received a double lung transplant. She feels she has been given a second chance at life and her motto is now “Phoenix Rising”. I based the phoenix design off a falcon to give it a more aggressive demeanor opposed to the more commonly used majestic features. I did so to convey that this Phoenix has been through hell and back again and is ready to take on the world like never before.
