Goblin Cave Digital Painting

This is a digital painting I did as a live lecture on the digital painting process in Photoshop. I start the process gathering reference for the idea and thumbnail out concepts (I only had time to generate 3 and develop one during the live lecture) then I demo digital painting techniques using value. Once the value pass is done, we explore methods of coloring value by generating a series of value studies using a range of techniques, pick one, and spend a few days developing it to a finished piece.
